US keeps Russia’s 2019–2020 wheat export forecast at 34 mln tns
MOSCOW, Feb 12 (PRIME) -- The U.S. Agriculture Department has maintained its forecast for Russia’s wheat exports to 34 million tonnes for the 2019–2020 agricultural year, which runs from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020, as seen by PRIME in the authority’s February market overview late on Tuesday.
The wheat harvest forecast was also affirmed at 73.5 million tonnes.
Russia’s Agriculture Ministry said that the country harvested 120.668 million tonnes of grain in 2019, including 74.335 million tonnes of wheat. Grain exports may amount to 45 million tonnes, including 36 million tonnes of wheat.
In 2018, Russia’s grain harvest stood at 113.255 million tonnes, including 72.136 million tonnes of wheat. Grain exports amounted to 43.3 million tonnes, including 35.2 million tonnes of wheat.
